Beyond the red-yellow park which was filling the air with autumn scents, an unknown grey building grieved. Like an outcast, it stood separately from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was half-concealed with the collar of concrete wall and thick veil of trees. What an unassailable fortress it was! The building had not even a rusty plate, not a single hint which could identify its mission. Every now and then a sharp-sighted passer-by would try to understand what was hidden there, but it was always the same – an onlooker would just stride away. The edifice kept its secrets fast.
Every morning, at 8:00, great floriated silver gates would open and release a gloomy inky-black van. Every evening, at 9:00 pm sharp, the van would return. The schedule was always the same regardless of weekends, holidays and other calendar calamities. Time seemed to keep away from this strange building.
